Before you start researching

  • Brainstorm your topic - this will give you an idea of what you know already
  • Develop some questions to focus your researh and narrow your topic
  • Use - who, what , why , where and how questions to guide your research
  • Construct a search strategy using keywords eg endangered, threatened, plants, flora, fauna, diversity, habitat, Australia
  • Check the library catalogue for books, websites, videos
  • Go to the referencing tab in the libguide homepage and use an electronic bibliography generator
  • If you can't find what you are looking for or you need help ask Mrs Penson or Mr May for help
