How to add a Flash Video File to PowerPoint

Make a Powerpoint Document and create a blank page so that you can insert your video later.

When you have finished your PowerPoint and are ready to add your FLV movie, go to the Office button and Save As > PDF.

Add a Flash Video File to a PDF

  1. Open Acrobat 9, then open the PDF which you have saved from PowerPoint.
  2. Choose Tools > Multimedia and select the Flash Tool.
  3. Drag or double-click to select the area on the page where you want the video to appear.
If you double-click the page, Acrobat places the upper-left corner of the video where you clicked.
If you drag an area on the page, the media is placed within the area. The play area of the video is the exact size of the video frame (if Acrobat is able to read the video clip dimensions).
  4. Browse to find the video file and click Open.
